Therapy for gay men in London and UK

Given the all-too-common experiences of discrimination and judgement faced by many LGBTQ+ people, it is entirely understandable that finding a therapist who offers a genuinely safe, respectful space matters. Many people want to know that their differences will be met with understanding rather than scrutiny or judgement. For this reason, I work in a way that is supportive and affirming of diversity in all its forms. I recognise both the shared aspects of our human experience and the importance of honouring each individual’s unique identity and lived reality.

Through my own lived experience as a gay man and my work as a therapist with members of the LGBTQ+ community, I have seen how growing up in unfavourable, hostile, or stigmatising environments can have lasting effects. These experiences can later show up as difficulties in relationships, feelings of isolation or of being an outsider, a sense of being misunderstood or judged, deep shame, or persistent feelings of not being good enough. For some, this may also involve anger, anxiety, an over-reliance on drugs and alcohol or experiences of chemsex.

Many people develop remarkable strengths and resilience in response to marginalisation, often channelling this into achievement in their work or personal lives. At other times, however, unhealed wounds can resurface during periods of stress or loss, such as a relationship ending or conflict at work.

If you find yourself in a time when things feel particularly hard, there is no shame in reaching out. Working with a supportive therapist can help you make sense of what you are experiencing and offer care to the parts of you that still need understanding and healing.

I offer sex-positive, inclusive therapy where you can explore sexuality, intimacy, relationships, desire, identity, and boundaries without shame or judgment.

Gender dysphoria

I welcome people who are experiencing gender dysphoria, as well as those who are questioning or exploring their gender. Gender dysphoria can be complex and deeply personal, and there is no single or “right” way to experience it. For some, it may involve distress related to the body or social roles; for others, it may be quieter, shifting, or difficult to put into words.

My aim is to offer a thoughtful, respectful space where your experience is taken seriously and met with curiosity rather than assumptions. Therapy is not about steering you toward any particular identity or outcome but about supporting you to explore what feels true for you, at your own pace.

I am mindful of the wider social, cultural, and relational pressures that often shape experiences of gender dysphoria, including stigma, misunderstanding, and fear of judgement. In our work together, we can attend  to the distress you may be carrying and to the strengths, resilience, and self-knowledge that are already present.

Whether you are seeking clarity, relief, or simply somewhere you can speak freely, you are welcome here.
